At around 6 AM, Lehigh County 911 received multiple calls about heavy smoke coming from the Fastenal store on Route 100. A few blocks away, the fire chief observed heavy smoke in the air and upgraded the response to a 2nd alarm. Upon arrival, the fire chief found the store fully involved in the fire. Multiple fire companies were called in to bring the fire under control, and Route 100 was closed for a period of time.
