WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — A 34-year-old man is dead and a woman was seriously injured following a shooting Tuesday night at an apartment complex in Whitehall Township.
The incident occurred at the Olympic Gardens apartments in the 1200 block of Pericles Place.
Emergency crews were initially dispatched for a reported gunshot victim inside an apartment. According to emergency communications information, the 911 call was received at approximately 10:22 p.m. Tuesday.
Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio confirmed that his office responded to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. The 34-year-old man was pronounced dead shortly before 11 p.m.
A woman was also seriously injured in the shooting. Additional information regarding her condition was not immediately available.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man who died or additional details regarding what led up to the shooting.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
