SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Authorities have identified the man who died in an early morning house fire in South Whitehall Township on Monday.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 4 a.m. to the 2800 block of Helen Street for a reported dwelling fire.
According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, firefighters removed 37-year-old Christopher R. Forsythe of Allentown from the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5 a.m.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.
The cause of the fire has not been released, and investigators have not said whether anyone else was inside the home at the time. No additional injuries have been reported.
The investigation remains active.
