The Bucks County Department of Emergency Communications had an outage of their computer-aided dispatch systems for nine days. However, officials have now restored the core functionality of the system. The system was brought back online on Tuesday afternoon, allowing emergency telecommunicators to use the automated system for the first time since Jan. 21. Bucks County officials claim that the ransomware “Akira” is the reason behind the recent troubles with their 911 Communications Center.
