A 25-year-old Philadelphia man named Rashon Christian-James Cooke died in a crash in Williams Township, according to Northampton County coroner Zachary Lysek. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

The crash occurred when a tanker truck rolled over at the intersection of Berger and Diehl roads around 9 a.m. Thursday. Pennsylvania State Police reported that, for unknown reasons, the truck left the right side of the roadway, hitting an embankment and then a traffic sign. The truck continued up the embankment and overturned, ending up on its roof in the nearby woods. Cooke was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to state police, the truck was the only vehicle involved in the wreck. The road was temporarily closed for investigation and was reopened at 1:30 p.m.
