COOPERSBURG, Pa. – A accident early Sunday morning resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man from Lower Macungie, according to a report by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

The fatal incident occurred around 3:25 a.m. when a tractor-trailer struck the pedestrian at the intersection of Route 309 and South 3rd Street in Coopersburg. The coroner confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

While the victim has been identified, authorities have opted to withhold his name to allow the family time for private grieving.

The incident is currently under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Coopersburg Police Department, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Lehigh County Crash Team.
