According to the Allentown police, officers responded to the restaurant located at 1958 South Fourth Street around 6:14 p.m. on Saturday night after receiving a call about the incident. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a stab wound to the throat. The officers immediately rendered first aid, and the victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital.
The suspect, 18-year-old Brinley Capellan-Lopez, who also works at Burger King, was located by police shortly after the incident. Capellan-Lopez has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault.
In addition to the charges stemming from the Burger King incident, Capellan-Lopez was previously charged with obstruction of justice related to a shooting near William Allen High School on May 21, 2025.
