BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A residential fire in the City of Bethlehem escalated to a 3rd alarm after crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions at a two-story dwelling located at 1426 East 5th Street.
Initial responding units reported significant fire involvement, prompting a second alarm shortly after arrival. As conditions intensified and additional manpower was needed, the incident was upgraded to a third alarm, bringing mutual aid departments to the scene to assist with fire suppression, water supply, and overhaul operations.
Firefighters worked aggressively to contain the blaze and prevent extension to nearby properties. Multiple hose lines were placed into service as crews operated both inside and outside the structure.
At this time, there has been no official confirmation regarding injuries or the cause of the fire. The extent of damage to the home has not yet been released.
