ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 27, 2025) — William Allen High School was evacuated late Monday morning after a reported bomb threat prompted a swift response from local emergency crews and school officials.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 11:11 a.m., when the Allentown Police Department, Allentown Fire Department, and EMS responded to the school following reports of a possible explosive device on campus.
In coordination with the Allentown School District, officials immediately initiated safety protocols, placing the building on lockdown while law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation and search of the premises.
Parents and guardians were notified of the lockdown through the district’s messaging system, and students were evacuated as a precaution.
Following an extensive search, no bomb or explosive devices were found on school grounds, according to a media release issued by the district and police department.
All students and staff were reported safe, and classes are expected to resume once authorities clear the scene.
