

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle crash Monday morning at the intersection of Heller Road and Pumping Station Road in Richland Township.
The collision, involving a passenger car and a box truck, occurred shortly before noon. According to initial reports, one occupant became trapped inside the car and required extrication by firefighters. Rescue crews worked quickly to free the individual from the wreckage.
The box truck reportedly sustained a fluid leak as a result of the impact, prompting crews to deploy absorbent materials to prevent environmental contamination.
At this time, the severity of the injuries remains unclear, and it is not yet known how many individuals were transported to area hospitals. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Richland Township Police.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while first responders cleared the scene and conducted cleanup operations.
