Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident in Coopersburg

The Lehigh County Coroner has released the identity of a 35-year-old man who tragically lost his life after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Coopersburg on Sunday. The victim, David Andrew Mayers, was a resident of Lower Macungie Township.

Mayers was walking in the 300 block of South 3rd Street (SR 309) when the accident occurred. He was pronounced dead on April 13, 2025, at 4:25 a.m. According to the coroner’s office, the cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries from the pedestrian-motor vehicle accident, which has been ruled as an accident
