Actor and acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead inside their Los Angeles home on Sunday, according to law enforcement sources.
Authorities are investigating the deaths as an apparent homicide. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation.
Law enforcement sources confirm that Rob Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the investigation. Officials have emphasized that the case remains active and that no formal charges have been announced at this time.
Emergency crews originally responded to the residence for a reported medical emergency and discovered both victims inside the home.
Rob Reiner was best known for his role on All in the Family and for directing iconic films including The Princess Bride, Stand By Me, When Harry Met Sally…, and A Few Good Men.
