A fire overnight in Allentown has left thirty people without homes. Fire crews responded to the blaze at 25 North 3rd Street .

According to the Allentown Fire Marshal, the fire broke out in an area that was previously a vacant parking lot situated between buildings. The site has now been reduced to rubble, with debris scattered, including propane tanks and the remains of what used to be a car or van, which is now completely charred.

The fire was upgraded to a three-alarm response. Three firefighters suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital, where they are expected to fully recover.

In addition to the displaced residents, five pets were also affected by the fire. The Red Cross is on location to provide assistance to those impacted.
