On Friday, Grand View Health and St. Luke’s University Health Network announced that they have signed a definitive agreement to partner. The boards of both organizations unanimously approved the decision to move forward.
The transaction is expected to be completed in mid-to-late 2025, pending customary federal and state regulatory review, as well as the completion of closing conditions. In September, Grand View and St. Luke’s had previously signed a non-binding letter of intent to collaborate.
“This strategic decision is aimed at securing Grand View’s future for the benefit of our community and our patients,” said Doug Hughes, President and CEO of Grand View. “Our Board of Trustees and senior leadership team welcome this opportunity to become part of St. Luke’s, a network renowned for its quality, compassionate care and exceptional culture.”
Grand View is a nonprofit, community-based health system with over 2,000 employees, serving residents of Bucks and Montgomery counties. Established in 1913, it was the first hospital in Bucks County.
“Grand View, like St. Luke’s, has a long and proud history of providing high-quality, compassionate care to its community, making the two organizations excellent partners,” stated Rick Anderson, President and CEO of St. Luke’s. “We are extremely honored and pleased that Grand View will be joining our network.”
St. Luke’s is a fully integrated regional healthcare network with more than 20,000 employees and $4 billion in revenue. Its 15 hospital campuses and over 350 outpatient sites serve 11 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“Together, as partners, Grand View and St. Luke’s will enhance each organization’s ability to deliver exceptional quality care and service to our patients and communities,” Anderson concluded.
