
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 15-year-old male has been taken into custody following a stabbing Wednesday afternoon in Allentown, according to a media release from the Allentown Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to the 500 block of North New Street for a reported stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located a 14-year-old female suffering from a stab wound. She was transported by Allentown EMS to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
Investigators later identified the alleged actor as a 15-year-old male. Police said he was located and taken into custody without incident.
Because of his age, police said he is not being identified at this time. He was remanded to juvenile detention.
According to Allentown Police, he is facing the following charges:
Criminal Attempt at Homicide
Aggravated Assault
Simple Assault
Possession of Instruments of Crime
Police noted that the filing of charges is an accusation, and the juvenile is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Allentown Police said there will be no further comment at this time related to the investigation.
