An Allentown man named Elvis Miguel Perez has been arrested and charged with homicide, as well as with being a person not allowed to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell, or transfer firearms. He also faces a charge of possession of a firearm with an altered manufacturer’s number. These are all first-degree felonies, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan.
The charges are related to the deadly shooting of Christopher E. Potter, 56, who was killed at his home in South Whitehall Township. Potter was pronounced dead on Friday at 6:36 a.m. at the 3400 block of Cambridge Circle in South Whitehall Township, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. A gun was found in a trashcan on Cambridge Circle, and a man, believed to be Perez, was seen running from the home after the shooting. Perez was located a few hours later
