In East Greenville, Pennsylvania, the Montgomery County coroner has identified 55-year-old Gabriel Diaz as the man who was shot and killed by police at a home. According to the district attorney, Diaz was armed with a machete and hatchet when he charged at police on Saturday night. The police were responding to a domestic incident in the 100 block of Cherry Street. Diaz barricaded himself in the basement and threatened law enforcement before charging at them. The district attorney stated that police attempted to use a stun gun on Diaz, which failed. Subsequently, an officer fired his gun, resulting in Diaz’s death. The district attorney is now investigating the officer’s use of deadly force.
