A fire house in Allentown on Wednesday afternoon left 11 people displaced and required the rescue of a man from the third floor of a row home. The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. in the 400 block of West Allen Street, as confirmed by the Allentown Fire Department.
Firefighters successfully rescued the man, who was subsequently taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The fire affected three structures in total, with two of them declared uninhabitable. The fire department is continuing its investigation into the cause of the fire.
