ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police in Allentown are investigating the second shooting in less than a week. It happened Tuesday around 7 p.m. in the area of West Turner and North 19th streets, near Muhlenberg College.
Allentown police say four people were shot. Their conditions are not known.
Muhlenberg campus safety and police report that students were told to shelter in place for a brief time, and campus police increased patrols.
Police detained a man after the shooting, placing him in the back of a cruiser.
Police said Wednesday morning that there is no threat to the public.
Multiple police officers had focused their attention on a home in the area. At one point, they appeared in a defensive mode, shields in hand.
Police say there is no threat to the public.
