ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has released information regarding two deceased victims from a multi-vehicle crash on I-78 that occurred on Monday morning.

Nicolas Bolotine, 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 8 a.m. He was the driver of a Sauder’s egg tractor-trailer that collided with another tractor-trailer. The coroner has determined that Bolotine died from multiple blunt force injuries resulting from the motor vehicle collision. He was a resident of East Cocalico Township, Pennsylvania.

The second victim, identified only as John Doe, has an unknown age and residency. He was also pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 8 a.m. John Doe was a pedestrian who was struck by a tractor-trailer while outside of his vehicle, attempting to push it off the roadway. The coroner’s report indicates that his death was due to multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the pedestrian/motor vehicle accident.

John Doe has not yet been identified. The coroner’s office is collaborating with state and federal agencies to establish his identity.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville Station, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are continuing their investigation into the incident.
