BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Police say no one will face criminal charges in connection with the fire that ripped through the roof of the Five10 Flats apartment complex last May, displacing more than 130 residents.
Investigators with the Bethlehem Police Department met with the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office to review the facts of the case, according to Capt. William Audelo. After reviewing the findings, authorities determined there was not enough evidence to support criminal charges.
The fire broke out on the SouthSide at Five10 Flats, forcing evacuations and causing significant damage to the upper floors and roof area. In total, 135 residents were displaced, many losing access to their homes for months.
Officials have not released any new details regarding the exact cause of the fire, but emphasized that the review found no evidence of criminal intent or wrongdoing.
Residents impacted by the blaze previously received relocation assistance through property management and local partner organizations.
