ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 23-year-old man from Northampton has died following a motorcycle crash in Allentown over the weekend.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday in the area of North 11th Street and West Tilghman Street, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Officials said the man was operating a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 5 p.m.
The coroner’s office said an autopsy was scheduled for Monday to help determine the exact cause of death.
The man has been identified, but his name is not being released at this time while officials complete family notifications and investigative procedures.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, Allentown Police Department and other agencies are continuing to investigate the crash.
