NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A triple homicide investigation continues in Bucks County as new court documents shed light on what police discovered during a well-being check at a Churchville home earlier this week.
Officers were called to a residence on Heather Road on January 26, where they found three people dead inside the home belonging to an elderly couple. The victims were identified as Judith Castiglia, 84, and Fred Castiglia, 90, along with their daughter, Deborah Castiglia, 53, of Doylestown.
Police took Kevin Castiglia, 55, of Churchville, into custody following the discovery. While public court records as of January 27 show Castiglia initially charged with lesser offenses related to assault and terroristic threats, he had not yet been formally charged in connection with the deaths at that time.
However, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced in a social media post that Castiglia was expected to be arraigned later Tuesday on homicide charges.
According to court documents, officers entered the home during a welfare check and located the three bodies inside. Investigators have not yet released details on the cause of death or a possible motive.
The normally quiet Northampton Township community has been left shaken by the tragedy, as neighbors described the area as peaceful and close-knit.
Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing, and more information is expected following Castiglia’s court appearance.
