PERKASIE, Pa. — Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a 2nd alarm house fire Thursday night in Perkasie Borough, Bucks County.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 11:00 p.m. to the 200 block of West Walnut Street for reports of a working residential fire. Arriving units confirmed flames coming from a two-story residential structure, prompting commanders to strike a second alarm to bring additional manpower and apparatus to the scene.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading as crews operated both inside and around the structure. Mutual aid companies from surrounding communities assisted with suppression efforts and scene support.
Officials reported that no injuries occurred during the incident, and no one was believed to be home at the time the fire broke out.
After crews extinguished the flames, firefighters remained on scene conducting overhaul operations to ensure no hidden fire remained inside the structure.
Authorities later placed the incident under control and cleared the scene.
The Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office has taken over the investigation and is currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
No additional information has been released at this time.
