ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night near a college football stadium in Allentown.
The incident took place around J. Birney Crum Stadium and Muhlenberg College. Officers were called to the 2400 block of West Liberty Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police from both Allentown and Muhlenberg College found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials confirmed that the shooting happened off-campus. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover from their injuries.
Authorities state that there is no immediate threat to the public at this time.
