A popular Italian restaurant in Northampton County is temporarily closed after fire struck Sunday morning.

Fire crews arrived at Nonna Sulina’s Italian restaurant at 5000 Bath Pike in Hanover Township around 9 a.m. Sunday. Northampton Communications has confirmed that the fire is now out, and there are no injuries.

The restaurant’s Facebook page posted the following: “It is with a heavy heart that today, we face unexpected circumstances that require us to close Nonna Sulina’s Restaurant for the day, and until further notice. Please know that this decision was made with the utmost consideration for your safety and well-being. We are actively addressing the situation and will keep you updated as soon as possible.”
