
BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. — A vehicle caught fire Tuesday afternoon along Route 22 westbound in Bethlehem Township, prompting a response from local emergency crews.
According to Northampton County 911 dispatchers, the call for the vehicle fire came in at 1:14 p.m. Crews arrived to find a passenger vehicle actively burning on the shoulder of the highway.
Firefighters from Nancy Run Fire Company and surrounding agencies quickly worked to knock down the flames and secure the scene. No injuries were reported.
Authorities confirmed the scene was fully cleared by 2:04 p.m., and traffic flow was restored shortly afterward.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
