MACUNGIE, Pa. — A person was critically injured after gunfire was directed at several homes in a Lehigh County community. The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ridings at Brookside condominium development in Macungie.
Police responded quickly to the 100 block of Lindfield Circle, where shots were fired into three occupied homes, according to Macungie police. One person inside one of the homes was struck by the gunfire and was taken to the hospital, where they are currently in critical condition.
No arrests have been made, but police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is being conducted by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, Macungie Police, and State Police.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact them and are also asking homeowners to check their doorbell cameras for any video captured on Wednesday night.
