According to the forecast, the morning will start partly sunny before showers begin to develop late in the morning. A chance of rain is expected between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., followed by a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

Temperatures will climb to around 76 degrees, with south winds between 5 and 15 mph. Wind gusts could reach up to 25 mph, especially during passing storms.

While rainfall totals during the day are expected to stay under a tenth of an inch for most areas, thunderstorms could bring locally heavier downpours.

Conditions turn more active tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 9 p.m., followed by scattered storms overnight. Rain chances increase again toward early morning Wednesday as another round of showers moves into the area.

Overnight temperatures will drop to around 46 degrees, with continued southerly winds of 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.

Rainfall overnight could total between one-tenth and one-quarter of an inch, though thunderstorms may produce higher localized totals.

Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware this afternoon and evening, especially if thunderstorms develop.
