Several students became sick Thursday at William Penn Middle School in Bucks County after officials said they allegedly ingested edibles containing THC.

The incident happened on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at William Penn Middle School, located at 1524 Derbyshire Road in Yardley.

Emergency crews responded after multiple students became ill inside the school. At least one individual was reportedly taken out of the building on a stretcher.

Officials said a small number of students allegedly consumed edibles laced with THC during the school day. Multiple students were evaluated, and some were taken to a hospital for further treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

School district officials said parents were notified and emergency medical personnel responded immediately. The district also reminded families about the dangers of vapes, THC products, and edibles being brought onto school property.

The incident remains under investigation.
