NEW BRITAIN TWP., Pa. — Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire ripped through a Bucks County home late Thursday night.
The blaze broke out just after 10 p.m. at a residence on Farber Drive in New Britain Township, where heavy smoke could be seen billowing from the two-story home as fire crews arrived on scene.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control before midnight.
Residents inside the home were able to escape safely, according to Chalfont Fire Company Chief Nick Marino.
Three occupants were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
No firefighters were injured during the incident.
The Bucks County Fire Marshal is now investigating the cause of the fire.
Chief Marino also urged residents to clear snow from around fire hydrants to help emergency crews respond more effectively during winter conditions.
