ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Two teenagers are facing felony charges in connection with Wednesday’s bomb threat at William Allen High School, police said, as the school dealt with yet another threat Thursday, the third in three days.
Allentown police said officers from the department’s Patrol Division and Community Outreach Unit responded to the school around 11:13 a.m. Thursday for a report of a bomb threat. Working with school administrators and the Allentown Fire Department, officers cleared the building and found no threat.
Police said Thursday’s incident remains an active criminal investigation.
In a release issued Thursday, police also announced charges stemming from Wednesday’s bomb threat. Two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, are each charged with a felony count of terroristic threats. Wednesday’s threat prompted an evacuation of the school.
Investigators previously said a 16-year-old was charged in connection with a separate threat made Tuesday.
The school also received a threat on the first day of classes this year.
Police noted that charges are merely accusations and that anyone charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The department said it will have no further comment at this time.
Anyone with information about Thursday’s threat is asked to call the Allentown Police Criminal Investigations Division at 610-437-7721.
