The Philadelphia 76ers are headed to the second round after pulling off one of the biggest playoff wins in franchise history.

Philadelphia defeated the Boston Celtics 109-100 in Game 7 on Saturday night in Boston, completing a stunning comeback after trailing 3-1 in the series.

Led by a dominant performance from Joel Embiid, the Sixers controlled much of the second half and silenced TD Garden as they eliminated the defending Eastern Conference power on their home floor.

Embiid finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey added 30 points in the win. Rookie standout VJ Edgecombe also delivered a breakout playoff performance with 23 points, including several key three-pointers.

The victory marks Philadelphia’s first playoff series win over Boston in decades and one of the few times in NBA history a team has erased a 3-1 series deficit to advance.

The Sixers will now advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where they are set to face the New York Knicks.

Philadelphia enters the next round with major momentum after one of the most memorable postseason wins in recent franchise history.
