BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Musikfest 2026 has officially wrapped up in Bethlehem, bringing another massive crowd to the city for more than a week of music, food and entertainment.
As of Wednesday morning, ArtsQuest has not yet released a final attendance figure for the 2026 festival. Organizers had expected more than 1 million visitors during this year’s event, which ran from July 31 through Aug. 9, following a special preview night on July 30.
The final number will be closely watched after Musikfest shattered its all-time attendance record just one year ago.
Musikfest Attendance in Recent Years
In 2025, Musikfest welcomed an estimated 1,449,000 people, the highest attendance in the festival’s history. That was approximately 42% higher than the previous year and surpassed the former record set in 2023.
In 2024, attendance totaled 1,029,417 people. Severe weather affected portions of that year’s festival and contributed to a significant decline from 2023, although Musikfest still established records for headliner ticket sales and sold-out concerts.
In 2023, Musikfest attracted 1.33 million people, which at the time was a new festival record.
The previous year, 2022, also established a then-record with approximately 1.24 million attendees.
That puts the recent attendance numbers at:

The numbers show just how much weather and other conditions can affect attendance at the largely outdoor festival. Attendance dropped by roughly 300,000 people between 2023 and the weather-impacted 2024 festival before surging by more than 400,000 in 2025.
Another Massive Festival in Bethlehem
The 43rd Musikfest featured more than 400 performers and approximately 500 performances across 16 stages throughout Bethlehem’s North and South sides. Fifteen stages offered free entertainment, while the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza hosted ticketed headliner performances.
Musikfest has grown dramatically since its inaugural festival in 1984, when approximately 180,000 people attended. Today, the event regularly draws more than 1 million visitors and is considered one of the largest free-admission music festivals in the country.
The festival also provides a major economic boost to Bethlehem and the surrounding Lehigh Valley. ArtsQuest has previously estimated Musikfest’s annual regional economic impact at more than $70 million.
With 2025 setting the bar at nearly 1.45 million attendees, the question now is whether Musikfest 2026 came close to — or surpassed — that record.
