LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. — A multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers caused an extended closure of Interstate 78 westbound in Lower Saucon Township.
The crash was reported near mile marker 64.4. One tractor-trailer overturned, while a second came to rest in the median. Two additional vehicles were also involved.
Emergency crews used hydraulic tools during a full roof removal to extricate one patient. One Class 2 injury was reported.
The highway is expected to remain closed for an extended period as crews work at the scene. The cause of the crash and the identities of those involved have not been released.
