Due to an excessive heat warning in Bucks County, several cooling centers will be open in the upper part of the county. These centers will be available to seniors and people experiencing homelessness who need refuge from the heat. They will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the duration of the advisory, unless otherwise noted.

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 98. For the
Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index
values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 6 AM EDT Saturday. For the
Excessive Heat Watch, from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
