At around 5:30 PM, firefighters were dispatched to the 1100 block of Hamilton Street to respond to a report of a building on fire. A third alarm was activated to help combat the blaze due to heavy fire conditions, which had spread into the adjacent buildings of the row. Fire crews battled the flames well into the night, and at least one firefighter was taken to the hospital.
