Early Wednesday morning, a shooting incident and a vehicle crash were reported in Washington Township, Lehigh County. The shooting occurred around 12:24 a.m. in the 2900 block of Welshtown Road, followed shortly by a vehicle crash just a half-mile away. Authorities have not yet established a connection between the two incidents.
Pennsylvania State Trooper Branosky commented, “The investigation is ongoing this morning. Residents can expect to see troopers in Washington Township throughout the morning, and we will provide updates later today.”
In a statement, State Police-Troop M reported that troopers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a man who had been shot. Upon arrival, they found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound and immediately began administering care. Northern Valley EMS later transported the victim to a local hospital.
