The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of 21-year-old Edwin Noel Diaz, a resident of Allentown, following a car accident that resulted from a fall from the Route 309 overpass. Diaz was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
According to the coroner’s investigation, Diaz died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the collision. The manner of death has been classified as an accident.
The incident occurred on Thursday, April 10, 2025, around 8:20 p.m. Diaz, who was driving the vehicle, lost control and veered off the 309 overpass, landing on Interstate 78 below. The tragic accident took place in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County.
