On April 11 at approximately 7:36 AM, emergency services, along with our auto aid partners, responded to a multiple vehicle accident on the 6900 block of Penn Avenue in Lower Heidelberg Township.
Upon arrival, crews discovered six vehicles involved in the incident, including a school bus. A total of 11 patients were present, with one individual confined to their vehicle.
Rescue Tools to safely remove both driver-side doors and the the vehicle for patient access and extraction. Meanwhile, personnel from the Western Berks Ambulance Association provided triage for all patients on the scene.
Further details about the patients’ conditions and the cause of the accident are still under investigation.
