ALLENTOWN, PA** – Allentown police were dispatched to the 300 block of Hamilton Street at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound.
The victim informed police that he had been outside the Catch22 nightclub, trying to de-escalate a disturbance, when the shots were fired. He sustained a wound to his lower extremity. Emergency service personnel administered first aid at the scene before transporting him to the hospital. Fortunately, the victim is expected to survive his injuries.
