WILSON BOROUGH, Pa. (Northampton County) — A late-night fire caused significant damage to a home in Wilson Borough early Saturday morning, according to local officials.
The blaze broke out around 12:00 a.m. in the 11 block of Early Street, prompting a swift response from Wilson Borough Fire Department and neighboring mutual aid units. Crews arrived to find a working kitchen fire that had already begun to spread through portions of the residence.
Emergency personnel were able to bring the fire under control, and fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Officials confirmed that the home sustained damage, though the extent has not yet been disclosed.
As of now, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire investigators were seen on location into the early morning hours, working to determine what sparked the blaze.
Authorities are urging residents to check smoke detectors and ensure their homes are equipped with functioning fire safety devices.
