ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A woman is in critical condition following a shooting early Sunday morning in Allentown, according to city police.
Officers with the Allentown Police Department responded around 1:58 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Pine Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders rendered immediate aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital. Police say she remains in critical condition as of Sunday morning.
The Allentown Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating the shooting. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any details regarding possible suspects or motive.
