

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Authorities have identified the man shot and killed in Allentown on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said Jahlik R. Colon, 24, of Temple, was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m. at a local hospital. His death has been ruled a homicide.
The shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of North 8th Street and Linden Street, according to officials. Colon was transported from the scene but later died from his injuries.
Investigators have not released details on what may have led to the shooting.
The case is being investigated by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the coroner’s office.
