


NORTHAMPTON, Pa. — Fire crews responded to a reported dwelling fire Friday evening on the 30 block of West Saucon Street after black smoke was seen coming from the top floor of a two-and-a-half-story residence.
According to initial reports, firefighters arrived to find smoke showing from the upper level. Crews quickly went to work, bringing the blaze under control within minutes. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Local residents were temporarily evacuated as a precaution while firefighters ensured the fire did not spread to neighboring homes.
