LOWER OXFORD TWP., Pa. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking the public for assistance as it continues to investigate the deadly shooting that occurred Saturday night at Lincoln University during homecoming weekend festivities. The incident left one person dead and six others injured.

The FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office has launched a public appeal, urging anyone with photos or videos from the night of the shooting to come forward. Investigators say that even short video clips or snapshots taken before, during, or after the shooting could prove vital in identifying suspects and piecing together the timeline of events.

“As we’ve seen in a lot of investigations recently here, every investigation seems to begin with video evidence,” said retired FBI agent Scott Curtis. “Once you can identify who may have been involved in this shooting, then you’re working in two directions.”

Curtis explained that investigators use such evidence to trace movements both forward and backward in time — determining where potential suspects went after the shooting and how they arrived at the scene beforehand.

“To see how they got to that moment in time, who they collaborated with, what mode of transportation they used — any corroborating evidence helps build the full picture,” he added.

Authorities believe multiple shooters may have been involved in the attack, which erupted outside Lincoln University’s International Cultural Center as hundreds attended homecoming events.

Given the size of the crowd and the prevalence of cell phone cameras, investigators are confident that valuable visual evidence exists.

“I’m sure there were a lot of phones out, whether capturing still photographs or video,” Curtis said. “Hopefully everyone who has something useful will voluntarily forward it to the FBI.”

How to Submit Evidence

Members of the public can submit photos and videos directly through a dedicated FBI portal or by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.
The bureau encourages anyone who was present or recorded activity near the scene between Saturday evening and early Sunday morning to review their footage and submit any relevant material.

The investigation remains ongoing in coordination with Chester County authorities, Pennsylvania State Police, and Lincoln University officials.
