ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Lehigh County) — Fire crews battled a second-alarm blaze Thursday morning that tore through a three-story row home on the 100 block of East Susquehanna Street, leaving one residence heavily damaged and several adjoining homes impacted.
Officials said the fire began on the third floor and quickly extended into the roof area, prompting a second alarm to bring in additional manpower and resources. Crews worked aggressively to stop the flames from spreading through the connected row homes.
One home sustained significant fire damage, while the extent of damage to the adjoining structures remains under investigation. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours checking for hot spots and securing utilities.
Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported, and all occupants safely evacuated before crews arrived.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Allentown Fire Department and the Lehigh County Fire Marshal’s Office.
