A police officer is being credited with saving eight lives after running into a burning duplex early Thursday morning in Bucks County.
The fire broke out around 4:40 a.m. on the unit block of West Woodland Drive in Penndel Borough.
According to officials, Officer Sean Peck arrived to find the duplex actively burning. Without hesitation, he ran into the home—despite heavy smoke and visible fire—and was able to rescue eight occupants trapped inside.
Fire crews arriving on the scene reported severe hoarding conditions, which made interior access extremely challenging and slowed efforts to bring the blaze under control.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
