

SELLERSVILLE, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a large gas leak Friday afternoon near 700 Lawn Avenue in Sellersville after a contractor accidentally struck a gas line near Grand View Hospital.
The incident prompted a temporary roadway shutdown in the area as fire crews and the gas company worked to control the leak. Several nearby buildings were evacuated for a short period of time as a precaution while the situation was assessed and secured.
Officials confirmed that the gas company successfully shut down the damaged line, stopping the leak. The hospital itself was not impacted by the incident, and operations continued without disruption.
No injuries were reported. Once the leak was secured and the area deemed safe, all evacuated occupants were allowed to return to their buildings.
Fire services have since cleared the scene, and traffic has reopened in the area.
