Cold Weather Advisory

  • In effect: NOON Sunday through 10 AM Monday
  • Wind chills: As low as -9°F

Areas Affected

The dangerous cold impacts large portions of southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the Philadelphia metro area, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties, along with Camden, Gloucester, Atlantic, Cape May, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Cumberland, and Salem counties.

Potential Impacts

Weather officials warn that prolonged exposure to these temperatures can quickly lead to frostbite or hypothermia, especially for anyone outdoors without adequate protection. Wind chills near or below zero can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Residents are urged to:

  • Dress in multiple layers, including hats, gloves, and face coverings
  • Limit time outdoors whenever possible
  • Check on elderly neighbors, children, and pets
  • Ensure pets are brought indoors
  • Use caution if traveling outdoors

Anyone without heat or adequate shelter is encouraged to call 211 for assistance locating warming centers or emergency shelter.

What’s Next

Temperatures are expected to gradually moderate early in the week, but cold conditions will remain through Monday morning. Residents should continue monitoring forecasts and alerts for any updates.
